Lusail International Circuit
Lusail was MotoGP's season opener every year from 2007 to 2022, and its floodlights — added in 2007 — hosted the championship's first-ever night race in 2008, well before F1 raced here at all. When the circuit was reconfigured in 2023, MotoGP kept its original final-corner entry rather than adopting F1's revised one, so the two series' layouts genuinely differ at that one point. Qatar's investment in the venue reflects a broader push to host global sporting events, from the FIFA World Cup in 2022 to this circuit's F1 and MotoGP rounds within a few years of each other.

Seats we could actually find on sale at Lusail International Circuit ran from €59 up to €89 (general admission through to the priciest grandstand, not counting hospitality or Paddock Club) — checked 3 Aug 2026. Ticket prices move constantly and this is not every seat at the circuit, so treat it as a rough budget, not a quote. A typical return flight from a mid-priced European hub, booked around two months out, runs about €580 a person; add roughly €165 a person for three nights in a mid-range hotel over the race weekend. Getting there
The circuit is roughly a 30-minute drive from Doha; race-weekend ticket packages include a free shuttle between Lusail Metro station and the circuit. Race weekend at Lusail runs at night under floodlights, so the desert heat that affects daytime sessions elsewhere on the calendar is far less of a factor here than the late kick-off time itself.
Where to sit
Unlike the F1 weekend at this circuit, MotoGP and WEC tickets at Lusail are sold as entirely unreserved general admission across six areas — North, Turn 2, Turn 3, the Lusail Hill general-admission bank, Turn 16 and the Main Straight — rather than F1's numbered grandstand seats. Arriving early for a spot near the pit boxes on the Main Straight area matters more here than seat selection would at a numbered venue. Because seating is unreserved for MotoGP, the practical difference between the six areas is less about sightline quality and more about proximity to the Main Straight and the paddock facilities near it.
