The lap
The lap, drawn from the official circuit diagram and simplified to 157 points. This is the shape of the circuit; the length and corner count in the strip above are the published figures, hand-checked against the circuit’s own specifications.
This is the same physical circuit as our Silverstone Circuit MotoGP guide — same layout, same grandstands, different championship and a different weekend on the calendar.
What a ticket here actually gets you
Zone and stand structure, checked 29 Jul 2026. No prices — those move, and we do not publish one until it has been checked and dated.
General admission
General admission gives you no grandstand and no enclosure, but it does let you walk the entire outside of the circuit and pick your own spot — at a track this size that is a real amount of ground. A 'general admission plus' upgrade covers all three days: roaming access to extra viewing areas on Friday and Saturday, plus a reserved terrace in one chosen area on Sunday race day itself — the race-day access is the actual point of the upgrade, not an afterthought.
What a Silverstone weekend actually costs
The venue for the first race of the first world championship, and still the fastest flowing sequence in the sport through Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel.
Hangar Straight into Stowe is the textbook 2026 overtaking place: long enough to build a run, and followed by a corner where the defending car cannot hide.
Seats we could actually find on sale at Silverstone ran from €1102 up to €1981 (general admission through to the priciest grandstand, not counting hospitality or Paddock Club) — checked 31 Jul 2026. Ticket prices move constantly and this is not every seat at the circuit, so treat it as a rough budget, not a quote. A typical return flight from a mid-priced European hub, booked around two months out, runs about €210 a person; add roughly €260 a person for three nights in a mid-range hotel over the race weekend. These are grounded, dated estimates, not live quotes. See the full cost ranking for how every circuit compares. What we can tell you is which decision moves the total most, and that is grandstand or general admission, followed by where you buy it.

Getting there
A former airfield in the middle of England, so it is a car, a coach or a park-and-ride. Plan the exit as carefully as the arrival. Silverstone's own campsites are a well-established, usually cheaper, alternative to a hotel — the nearest towns, Northampton and Milton Keynes, fill up fast and are worth booking early.
Where to sit
Becketts is the connoisseur's choice and is genuinely worth the walk. Stowe sees heavy braking and the most passing.
Weighing it against other circuits
Dates move; circuits do not. This block reads from the season overlay, so it is right whenever you happen to be reading it.
