Lusail
A fast, flowing circuit built for motorcycles and floodlit throughout, with a sequence of medium-speed corners that is punishing on tyres and on drivers. Most named zones are sold with numbered seating, aside from the general-admission Lusail Hill bank, closer to a stadium event than the standing-room culture common at many other circuits.

The lap
The lap, drawn from the official circuit diagram and simplified to 112 points. This is the shape of the circuit; the length and corner count in the strip above are the published figures, hand-checked against the circuit’s own specifications.
What a ticket here actually gets you
Zone and stand structure, checked 29 Jul 2026. No prices — those move, and we do not publish one until it has been checked and dated.
The grandstands
Worth knowing how new all of this is: between Lusail's first Formula 1 appearance in 2021 and its second in 2023, capacity went from about 8,000 to about 52,000 on the back of new grandstands. Any account of watching a Grand Prix here written before that describes a completely different venue.
What a Lusail weekend actually costs
A fast, flowing circuit built for motorcycles and floodlit throughout, with a sequence of medium-speed corners that is punishing on tyres and on drivers. Most named zones are sold with numbered seating, aside from the general-admission Lusail Hill bank, closer to a stadium event than the standing-room culture common at many other circuits.
Continuous fast corners mean fewer big braking zones, so recovery happens in less obvious places here than on a straight-line circuit.
Seats we could actually find on sale at Lusail ran from QAR 600 up to QAR 2000 (general admission through to the priciest grandstand, not counting hospitality or Paddock Club) — checked 31 Jul 2026. Ticket prices move constantly and this is not every seat at the circuit, so treat it as a rough budget, not a quote. A typical return flight from a mid-priced European hub, booked around two months out, runs about €440 a person; add roughly €166 a person for three nights in a mid-range hotel over the race weekend. These are grounded, dated estimates, not live quotes. See the full cost ranking for how every circuit compares. What we can tell you is which decision moves the total most, and that is grandstand or general admission, followed by where you buy it.

Getting there
Short drive or metro-and-shuttle from Doha. Compact country, straightforward logistics.
Where to sit
The main grandstand is the practical choice; the circuit's flow means there is less variation between vantage points than at most venues. The Main Grandstand itself is split into three numbered blocks — Zone A/B, C/D and E/F — all priced and sold identically, so the choice between them is really which stretch of the front straight you want. The North Grandstand, cheaper than the Main blocks, and Turn 3 and Turn 16, cheaper again, ring the rest of the lap; Turn 2 has sold out faster than any other stand here in past years.
Weighing it against other circuits
Dates move; circuits do not. This block reads from the season overlay, so it is right whenever you happen to be reading it.
