General admission
General admission is the cheap way in and the honest summary is that the views are very limited. The better GA ground is around grandstands 15, 22, 24, 33 and 34. If sightlines matter to you at this circuit, GA is not the answer.
The grandstands
Montreal numbers its stands, and the numbers are worth learning. 1 faces the pit lane and garages — the cars leaving, and the noise of the start. 11 and 12 look onto the Senna Curve, where the field bottlenecks, and are among the best seats here. 15 sits opposite 34 and sees the short straight into the hairpin and the heavy braking at the end of it. 24 sees the hairpin exit. 31 overlooks Turns 8 and 9 at the end of a short straight, which makes it an overtaking seat — note that guides describing it as a 'DRS stand' are pre-2026 and DRS no longer exists. 34 is unusual in being on the inside of the circuit, looking straight at the apex of the Épingle hairpin.

Seats we could actually find on sale at Montreal ran from €1007 up to €1362 (general admission through to the priciest grandstand, not counting hospitality or Paddock Club) — checked 31 Jul 2026. Ticket prices move constantly and this is not every seat at the circuit, so treat it as a rough budget, not a quote. A typical return flight from a mid-priced European hub, booked around two months out, runs about €600 a person; add roughly €850 a person for three nights in a mid-range hotel over the race weekend. Getting there
The metro runs to the island. It is one of the easiest circuits in the world to reach without a car, and the walk in is part of the weekend. Montreal's hotel stock is citywide rather than clustered near the circuit, so price and location are a genuine trade-off — the island itself has no accommodation of its own, just the metro link in.
Where to sit
Anywhere near the final chicane and the pit straight gives you the wall, the braking zone and the start-finish line in one view.
