The lap
The lap, drawn from the official circuit diagram and simplified to 143 points. This is the shape of the circuit; the length and corner count in the strip above are the published figures, hand-checked against the circuit’s own specifications.
What a ticket here actually gets you
Zone and stand structure, checked 29 Jul 2026. No prices — those move, and we do not publish one until it has been checked and dated.
The grandstands
The North grandstand is the one that sees the long straights and the heavy braking, and a further structure was added beside it for 2022. The marina-side stands are the scenery option — know which of the two you are buying, because at this circuit they are a long way apart in what they show you.
What a Yas Marina weekend actually costs
The season finale, run from late afternoon into night so the light changes across the race, past a marina and under a hotel whose roof arches over the track.
Two long straights separated by a chicane make Abu Dhabi a genuine deployment circuit, which is new: for years this was a race where overtaking was the problem.
Seats we could actually find on sale at Yas Marina ran from €539 up to €839 (general admission through to the priciest grandstand, not counting hospitality or Paddock Club) — checked 3 Aug 2026. Ticket prices move constantly and this is not every seat at the circuit, so treat it as a rough budget, not a quote. A typical return flight from a mid-priced European hub, booked around two months out, runs about €510 a person; add roughly €375 a person for three nights in a mid-range hotel over the race weekend. These are grounded, dated estimates, not live quotes. See the full cost ranking for how every circuit compares. What we can tell you is which decision moves the total most, and that is grandstand or general admission, followed by where you buy it.

Getting there
Yas Island is well served by shuttles and taxis from Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This is the easiest big-event logistics of the year. Race weekend runs into the cooler evening hours, a deliberate scheduling choice built around the television slot and the spectacle of the light change, rather than daytime heat — race-day temperatures here are a moderate 26-30°C.
Where to sit
The north grandstand sees the long straights and the heavy braking. The marina stands see the least racing and the most scenery — know which you are buying. Marsa Corner, at Turn 9, and the West Complex through Turns 6-7 sit on the lap's technical middle sector, away from both the long straights and the marina backdrop. Abu Dhabi Hill, covering Turns 2-4, gives an elevated view rare for a circuit this flat.
Weighing it against other circuits
Dates move; circuits do not. This block reads from the season overlay, so it is right whenever you happen to be reading it.
