General information
Silverstone F1 circuit - the home of the motorsports as British people like to call it is an old circuit. It is a beautiful track with huge stands. Most stands offer bucket seats and facilities for visitors are reasonable. All the popular stands are aligned from the last corner to the first corner. The huge Pit Straight stand is divided into sections and only some are covered. Woodcote and Copse stands in the corners are covered and that is not a luxury in the UK. Bridge and Farm are Enclosures and offer terrace like seating. The General admission area is also very popular as the British GP track is quite long and there are many good spots to view the British Formula 1 Grand Prix. Since this year the organizers added two specific standing areas around Copse and Luffield (Bronze Plus).
Viewing quality
The track view is good from all stands. The quality is mainly decided by the location of the stand with the pit straight and Copse stands being the most sought after. A good choice also is the Luffield stand or the Woodcote stand. At the far side of the track Stowe is also a good location to view the race.
Prices
Britain used to be amongst the more expensive tracks but the last couple of years prices have come down. Prices can be compared with other European events. Gold 4 (top category) tickets cost around 425 Euro. The Silver - Enclosure - sections are of good value at 275 Euro. Bronze - General Admission - can be considered expensive when comparing with other venues at around 180 Euros for the entire Weekend. These are priority prices valid until the end of January.
Best Deal
The best deal on F1 tickets for the Grand Prix of Britain is the Farm Enclosure. Located in Abbey area you have a great view of the approaching cars braking and then accelerating to Farm and Bridge. With a price of around 250 Euro this stand offers the best deal.
