How to get there: Montreal Canada
There are two airports in Montreal, but all international travelers arrive into Dorval, situated 22 kilometers west of the city.
From other airports to Montreal:
Jean Lesage International Airport
If you have a flight to Jean Lesage International Airport in Quebec City, you can take a domestic flight to Mirabel International Airport in Montreal.
Ottawa International Airport
At this airport you can take the train to Montreal. The VIA Rail Express is a direct line from Ottawa to Montreal. You can also take a taxi right outside the airport. Note that taxis can be expensive. Another possibility is to rent a car at the Ottawa Airport. Car rental companies are located in Parkade, across the passenger terminal. If you travel by car from Ottawa, take ON-471 towards Montreal. Keep following the signs to Montreal and turn left at Pass du Cosmos. From there you can follow the signs to Ile de Notre Dame.
How to get to the track (and back)
The most convenient way to to travel to Montreal is by metro. Please take the metro to Ile de Notre Dame. Line 4 (yellow) drives to Jean Drapeau metro station on Ile de Notre Dame where you can simply walk to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings make the 10 minutes' walk a real pleasure.
If you travel by car from Montreal, drive via Rue Notre-Dame E to Place Jacques Cartier and take the first exit right towards Boulevard Saint-Laurent. Take the first exit right towards Rue Saint Antoine E. Take the driveway left to Autoroute 720 W. Take the exit towards Pont Champlain/Sherbrooke and merge onto Autoroute 10 E. Take exit 2 towards Port de Montreal/Avenue Pierre Dupuy and merge onto Rue Marc Cantin. Turn left at Avenue Pierre Dupuy and proceed towards Pont de la Concorde. Take the driveway to Ile Notre Dame and keep driving left at the split, then precede to Chemin des Floralies. Turn left at Avenue Pierre Dupuy and follow the signs to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
