Mark Webber achieved his 2nd victory of the 2010 season at the Grand Prix of Monaco. Webber started off strong with his Red Bull teammate Vettel behind him. Kubica could not catch them and stayed in 3rd place. Nico Hulkenberg, who started off poorly due to a clutch problem, crashed into a guardrail after exiting the tunnel. This resulted in the first safety car situation of the 4 to come. Ferrari was alert and switched Fernando Alonso's tires right away from soft to hard. He did not have to stop again during the race, leaving a lot of the new teams behind him. Another safety car situation occurred when Rubens Barichello crashed into the guardrail at Massenet. He got out unharmed. When the Monaco F1 race was resumed, Webber took off fast while Vettel was struggling with Kubica. With only a few laps to go Webber was able to maintain his 1st place position superiorly. At the finish line of Monte Carlo F1, Mark Webber was celebrating his beautiful victory. The Red Bull driver shares the 1st place in the Championship with Vettel, but since he has won 2 races while Vettel only has 1, he has taken the lead for the 1st time in his career.

Historic info Monaco Monte Carlo
The Monaco Grand Prix is held since 1929 in the Principality of Monaco and is considered to be one of the most important and prestigious races around the world. The Monte Carlo F1 Grand Prix predates the organized World Championships; the principality's first Grand Prix race was organized in 1929 by Antony Noghes, a well-to-do cigarette manufacturer and a resident of Monte Carlo, under the auspices of Prince Louis II through the establishment of the "Automobile Club de Monaco" of which Noghes was the founding president. The inaugural race was won by William Grover-Williams driving a Bugatti painted in what would become the famous British racing green color. The Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix counted toward the European Championship from 1936 to 1939. The Monaco F1 Grand Prix was one of the inaugural races in the Formula One championship in 1950. However, there was no race in 1951, and in 1952 the Monaco Grand Prix took place but was not included within the Formula 1 championship. Since 1955, the Monaco Grand Prix has taken place each year and has been raced as part of the Formula 1 championship.
The Monte Carlo circuit is one of the few circuits that feature a tunnel. The chicane after the tunnel has been the scene of several accidents like the one of Karl Wendlinger (1994) and Jenson Button (2003). The Monaco circuit has also seen 2 lethal accidents in 1952 of Luigi Fagioli and in 1967 from Lorenzo Bandini. Despite of being dangerous, the circuit is known for putting a lot of weight on the technical skills of the drivers. In 2009 it was voted top of the "7 Sporting Wonders of the World" in a poll of 3.500 British sports fans.
