How to get there: Melbourne Australia Travel Info
There are 2 international airports nearby Circuit Albert Park but the Melbourne International Airport is the nearest one. International flights arrive at Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport, 22 kilometers north west of the city. If you arrive at Sydney Airport instead of Melbourne, you can take a domestic flight to Melbourne International Airport to continue your trip to the Australian F1 Grand Prix. There is a regular bus service and taxis from there to the city centre which are inexpensive.
How to get to the track (and back)
The public transport is very good. The trams are free between city and circuit Albert Park.
NOTE: normal tram fares apply on other tram routes that operate past the circuit.
Some bus services will take you to bus stops close to the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit, whilst other services will take you to the City, where you can catch the tram or train services to the Circuit.
If you travel by car from the Melbourne Airport drive to the Galleria Plaza and follow the way to Kings Way. From there turn right at Albert Rd and left at Lakeside Dr. Take a turn to the right to stay on Lakeside Dr and follow the signs to the Albert Park Circuit.
In Australia they drive left and steer right. You will need your home license and an international permit, available at your home Auto Club!
Parking options
There will be a RESTRICTED PARKING ZONE Melbourne GP: non residents will not be permitted to park close to Albert Park.
