How to get there: Sao Paolo Brazil
The circuit is situated in the Interlagos
suburb of Sao Paolo, approximately 15km
south of the city centre. The city possesses
a wide public transport network, including
a subway system, numerous bus companies
and plenty of taxis. Sao Paulo has two airports,
with Guarulhos, 30 kilometres east of the
city, handling international traffic. The
best way to get into the city is by hire
car or taxi. Bus is the cheapest option,
though they can be rather crowded and slow.
How to get to the track (and back)
To get to the circuit by car from Sao Paulo,
take the Marginal Pinheiros south-bound
towards Interlagos and then follow signs
for the track. Sao Paulo’s Metro system
is clean and efficient and is the best way
of getting around the city centre. However,
it doesn't extend to the suburbs.. If you're
not hiring a car, a taxi is the easiest
way to get to the track at Interlagos.
Where to stay
Finding lodgings or simply sleeping over
in São Paulo is not a problem. The
city has a hotel network in constant growth
and comparable to the world's best. Over
the last decade alone, more than US$ 500
million were invested in a sector that continues
growing. The forecast is that next year,
the city´s hotel capacity will reach
50 thousand units, divided in different
categories, from the more luxurious options
of the large chains, to the most economical
ones.
